With reference to UGC D.O.No. Secy(HE)/MHRD/2020 dated 21 March 2020
subjecting Preventive measures to achieve “social distancing” permission to teaching
and non-teaching staff to work from home, the memo advises faculty members/
teachers and other academic staff to utilise this period for development of on-line
content, online teaching and online evaluation methodology; preparing lesson plan
and development of instructional material for the courses to be offered during next
academic year/next semester; writing articles, papers etc; preparing innovative
questions for “Question Bank” and performance of any other academic and research
activities.
Introduction to the Guide
Academic community needs books, articles and other research formats of
information as fuel to boost their knowledge for enriching society through imparting
education among students and research scholars. This guide has been developed and
circulated especially for academic community including faculty, students, research
scholars and policy makers. This research guide treasures open access online
information resources which can be explored and utilized for research and academic
activities especially during the lock down period, when you are not able to explore
paid resources subscribed by the libraries. More than one billion eBooks, ten
thousands eJournals, eReports and other documents available under open access are
facilitated to access through the research guide.
OPEN ACCESS PORTALS@PUBLIC DOMAIN
Under this head, three Open Access portals designed and developed by the creators
of the guide are being circulated. These three web portals include accessing eBooks,
eReports, eJournals and other educational and research material available under
public domain.
