Shardool Kulkarni

Academic Fellow



Shardool Kulkarni completed the five-year law course from SVKM’s Pravin Gandhi College of Law, University of Mumbai in 2019. Thereafter, he worked as a Junior Advocate in the Chambers of Dr. Abhinav Chandrachud, prior to joining the Parasol Foundation International LL.M. Program in International Law and Human Rights at Tel Aviv University. His papers have been published in several national and international journals including Secularism and Nonreligion, Journal of Liberty and International Affairs, NLSIU-Bangalore’s In Law Magazine, and Supreme Court Cases’ Practical Lawyer, among others. He has also written for newspapers and blogs such as the Oxford Human Rights Hub Blog, Columbia University’s Rights Views Blog and the Millennium Post. At the age of eighteen, he was invited to depose before the Joint Committee of Parliament on the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Second Amendment) Bill, on the basis of a memorandum submitted by him. Additionally, he was cited as a legal expert who submitted written views in the 87th Report of the Rajya Sabha, Parliament of India, on ‘Inordinate Delay in Filling up the Vacancies in the Supreme Court and High Courts’. His areas of interest include comparative public law, constitutional theory and legal history.
