UpComing Events Details
The Centre for Communication Governance at National Law University, Delhi is organising its Annual Symposium on Law, Media and Technology on November 19, 2016 at India Habitat Centre. This year’s edition will focus on hate speech and online extremism and the concept note for the symposium can be found here .
The Centre is currently working with the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University on a report examining the Hate Speech Law in India which will be released at the symposium. We will have senior scholars and legal experts to join us for the release, and discuss different parts of the report through the day. Apart from a session dedicated to hate speech – we will bring key stakeholders, including senior members of the judiciary, senior lawyers, social media companies, law enforcement agencies and civil society, together to discuss the issue of online extremism, which is a rapidly growing concern.
