EMPIRICAL LEGAL RESEARCH PROJECT

(2019 ONWARDS)

The Theodore Eisenberg Centre for Empirical Legal Research and the Centre for

Criminology and Victimology have undertaken a study of empirical legal research
completed in law schools and institutions across India in the last 20 years. The study
explores the trends in empirical research in the field of law through an analysis of
research publications, journal articles, Ph.D. thesis and books which use empirical
research methodologies.

CRIMINOLOGY IN INDIA POST 2000 (2019

ONWARDS)

The purpose of the research is targeted towards systematically documenting the
research studies and other published work concerning criminology after the year
2000. The survey conducted till now has highlighted the fact that criminological
studies are scattered in several disciplines and there is a lack of any dependable

resource of reference in this subject. Also, to identify important trends in
criminological studies since this period and to highlight important subject matter and
broad areas discussed/researched under criminological sciences in same period span. 11
