Capacity Development Programme for Corporate Laws

National Law University, Delhi under the aegis of National Academy of Law Teachers (NALT) and the Center for Corporate Law and Governance (CCLG) organized a six days ‘Capacity Development Programme for Corporate Laws’ from 8th-13th June, 2015. The course was intended to serve as a primer which aimed at building the fundamentals in areas such as Companies Act, Contract Act, Security Regulations, Banking, Taxation, Insurance, Competition law and Cyber laws. Around 50 Faculty members pan India were sensitized on diverse aspects involved in this area of law. The week long capsule course introduced the participants to diverse areas of corporate laws, and also prepared them for future advanced courses which the Academy and the Center for Corporate Law and Governance would endeavour to bring in.

Objectives of the Programme were as under:

•             Introduction and understanding of different Corporate Laws

•             Development of theoretical knowledge & practical skill set

•             Interaction with diverse group of practitioners & academicians

•             Peer group learning

•             Preparation for future advanced courses

 

Resource persons included academicians, lawyers, practitioners, experts from regulatory authorities and partners of audit firms. The programme met with a great success. The participants have requested to organise advanced courses.
